Does anyone other than me think that coffee brewing smells bad?!
Answers: Sort of like the way a skunk smells? A friend of mine thinks the same thing.
Only at Starbucks - coffee brewing smells skunky there, especially this one store with a huge vent on the outside, when you walk past you get a skunky blast. Coffee elsewhere smells great brewing.

I love the smell of coffee brewing. However I hate its taste so the smell is as close as I get. I think it is great when brewed properly and when the pot is clean and the old stuff is poured out.
That's O.K., I find the modern 'fragrances' that people wear not only offensive, but down right nauseating. Or the 'organic' types that smell like fresh cut marijuana.
As for coffee, I love the smell of roasting it, grinding it, brewing it and just swirling the fresh poured cup under my nose...
