Question About Coke?!
Answers: Ok, I have this friend who uterly hates coke and he tells me that the police use coke to clean up blood stains at an accident scene because it soaks it up... Is it true? I dont think so.

I've never heard of it--the only odd fact I have ever heard about coke is how it was originally used to treat the common cold and headaches. Other than that, I don't think there are other uses for coke other than for enjoyment.

carbonated drinks are SAID to be good to clean up stains, but that's only if you have , like, a week to clean it up or something.
for it to have any use on rust though it does take a VERY ling time to work, as it's acid is not very concentrated.
interestingly though, whencoke was first invented it was a medicin and actually hade cocain in it
i know you can use it to clean a dirty toilet. Don't know about the blood thing though!!

They dont use coke, but it is a really effective cleaner. I know truck drivers that use coke to clean their battery terminals. It is really bad for you. Although, i am still addicted to it.
I'm not sure but I have heard crazy things like that and it eating rust off stuff. It sure tastes good though.

Coke is amazing and it can remove blood stains. It is part carbonation and part "Holy crap, I can't believe we put that crap into our system".
Coke can also make a penny clean and eat away metals given a long enough period of time.

I dont know about blood, but when I worked on oil wells we would add a can of coke to our laundry to help remove the oil from our work clothes. It worked very well.

most likely not coke really? maybe like some type of acid that soaks stuff up oh and coke is one of the biggest most drank sodas i doubt u can use it for evidence or whatever he said look it up on google to be sure if ur cautious

No it doesn't clean up blood (they used cow blood) it had about as much effect as water.
It didn't dissolve a tooth,
clean a battery (any better than water),
shine a penny (at all not even a little bit)
de-grease an engine.
dissolve a beef steak.
It did however, help polish chrome with the use of tin foil. Just a bit though and not much.
I'm sure the mythbusters site would have more.

It is true.. and you can use coke to clean the acid off of your cars battery terminals if they are crusted with acid as well.. It is not good for you at all!
Well some of it. Its not really coke but it has the same amount and same chemicals inside. Mostly like acid. Its not actully coke but its a similar acid liquid to coke.

i don't know about coke cleaning up blood stains, but i do know that club soda is widley used for cleaning up spills on carpets and rugs, i've tried club soda on tough spillage like grape juice and red wine and it is actually quite affective
I don't think coke would be the right choice for blood stains, blood is protein, hydrogen peroxide will do the job, fresh blood will disappear

What your friend said is about as big of a lie as those who said that when Coke first came out it was green and made with Cocaine.
