What is a fair price to pay for a pound of great tasting coffee beans? (us dollars)?!

Question: remember that you see 12 oz bags at the grocery store which is only 3/4 of a lb. So you have to multiply that by 1.25 to get the price per lb. I saw Peet's Coffee at a store for 12 dollars for 12 oz. That's 15 dollars a pound. I figure if I pay that much, I can find Kona for 20 a pound.

But at the grocery store, it ranges from 6-8 dollars for 12 oz. So what's a fair price do you think?

5-10 $ per pound. depending on the blend, flavor, etc. Kona @ 20. per lb is a good price, if its true kona and not a kona blend.

I worked in a coffee shop and we charged $12 per pound, which seems to be around the average price. We roasted fresh at the location, making much better than coffee than Peet's, it sounds like they are overcharging...
