Is it true that Coke tastes differently in every country?!

Question: And what about Pepsi?

Answers: And what about Pepsi?

I have had Coke in the US, Mexico and Guatemala and yes, it does taste slightly different. This is mostly due to the type of sweetener used. In the US, Coke is sweetened with High-Fructose Corn Syrup. In Latin America, it is sweetened with cane juice. I think the cane juice produces a far better flavor.

I can't speak for any other countries or for Pepsi.

Yes. even though the Coke formula is the same, different countries use different kinds of sweeteners. In the U.S. you use corn syrup now. But before you used to use sugar. In other countries they use sugar and it tastes different.

Pepsi too.

Yep! I live in germany and the regular coke here tasts like a milder version of the vanilla coke in the states...I hate coke in the states but I rather like it here :D

the Coca-Cola company sells the powdered version of coke, which is the "Coke flavor" and possibly the coloring to each country's Coke producing company, it is up to the local company on how much sugar, what sort of sugar and how much air to carbonate the drink. So yes, Coke does taste differently in every country.

I would think Pepsi would be the same, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

The best Coke ever was in those 6 oz. returnable bottles from 40+ years ago!

Yes, Coke tastes different in different countries. I'm no scientist. It may be different sweetening agents or different water used in the manufacture. Friends from Mexico say Coke is better there than in the U.S. I've had Coke in Mexico, and they are right! It is sweeter.

The taste of Coke is different in Ireland, France, U.K., Denmark, & South America than in the U.S.

Yep,sure is.Can't answer the pepsi question though,as I don't drink it!

Not sure about every country, but both coke and pepsi taste different between the Philippines and the US.

I've tried germanys coke and it tasted the same to me.

I don't know about other countries, but here in the good ole' USA I've found that the coke at McDonald's taste different than anywhere else, either fountain, can or bottle.
Do ya think they have a special recipe?
