After being told this repeatedly I finally gave in and decided to show everyone once and for all that what I had was totally genetic, so I quit all dark sodas for over a month (because the rumor is that it's dark sodas that make you break out). I only had Sprite if I had soda at all, and I when I had a bladder infection I quite soda entirely for a couple of weeks. I can tell you neither had any effect on my skin at all. Just like how some people say greasy foods make you break out, but then why can some people eat so unhealthy and have perfect skin? It's just people's excuses to make those of us with genetic problems look bad.

Many people have allergies Usually one ones face breaks out the first thing to eliminate is junk food.

i think it does because of the high sugar content

No, bacteria and oils make your face break out. It is a myth that what you eat and drink makes you break out, barring allergic reactions. Regular soda is not the best for you though, and you will notice improvement in your complexion if you drink more water and non-carbonated drinks that hydrate you.

No that is a myth! But I also think that it depends on the person

Don't listen to the retard that said no because it has high sugar content. It has been proven that sugar including chocolate gives you pimples nor will you break out. All in all, it's a myth!

That's what i have always heard!! P.S. i like this rose better @}----^--

eating high fat, greasy, sugary chocolatey etc foods does NOT affect your complexion unless you smudge them onto your face like a mask. it is a commonly accepted myth that what foods you eat affect your acne whether good or bad and i have always wondered why. there is no scientific evidence to back it up and never has been. however, every relative of mine said that to me while i was going through my adolescent acne stage. isn't it a bit frustrating and irksome when completely erroneous information is so completely and widely circulated? i think so...
breaking out, especially in your teen years, has more to do with chemical & hormonal changes and stress than diet. if you think it may be stress, first start by making sure you sleep a full night's sleep each night.
