Working at Starbucks isn't really that bad. You get free drinks while you work and a lot of benefits. I made about $10/hr with tips. It was great! I highly recommend it! Also, it's a learning experience when you really get into it. Learning about the different types of coffee and tea. I've also found time to experiment with the syrups and create tasty new concoctions.

I have known 2 people who worked at starbucks.. neither had anything good to say in any way... i remember one said that it started out fine but became boring and inane almost immediately.... i am sure that it is better than working at mcdonalds tho... typical minimum wage job from what i can gather... she always complained about having to share tips with everyone else who worked and that she never even made enough in tips to buy a pack of smokes....

I was once hired by Starbucks but declined the job because a higher paying job came my way. I've had several friends that have worked there and they all seemed to have a good experience there. Look at it this way, Starbucks will give you a laid back environment to work in and they offer you pretty decent benefits including health care insurance and a flexible schedule. If you're a student needing some extra money, it's a great gig and if you want to work your way up to management the company will help you do that if you are a good worker.

Starbuck's has been rated one of the top 100 companies to work for. The girls I've talked to at the drive-thru window love it there! They get a pound of coffee free, every Monday. They get benefits for PT people, and they get free drinks 30 mins before the store opens & 30 mins after it closes. I would LOVE to work there PT, but my whole paycheck would go for the frappuccinos...LOL!
Plus I have a small daughter & I have no time.
