Is coffee good for you? I've never liked it but now I'm in college and I tasted it again & I think I like it?!

Question: It's odd, I just happened to sample some flavored coffee and now everytime I smell coffee I want to drink it. I don't want to get addicted to it, especially if its not healthy. How much is okay to drink and is it bad for you?

In the words of Berry White, "Too much of anything is not good for ya baby"

It's a diuretic. At my age, anything over 2 cups raises my blood pressure 20 points.

it makes yor skin helthy but it makes your teeth brown so make shore you brush 2 to 3 times a day good luck

a couple of cups a day keeps the cob webbs away ! AC......

There are surveys to support anything you want:) You hear about how the caffeine is bad for you, but I just heard that 4+ cups of coffee a day helps protect women from uterine cancer. That sounds strange, but I drink alot of coffee, so I'm going with THAT survey:) .... Most of the flavored coffee MIXES have a ton of sugar in them. The sugar is what is going to be bad for you, if you drink too many of them.....

It's full of antioxidants, which are good for you.
However, the caffeine and sugar levels are not good for you. Plus, caffeine can be addictive. So stick to one or two mugs of caffeinated every day, and if you want more, have decaf. What I do is make my morning coffee half decaf and half caffeinated (1.5 scoop caf, 1.5 scoop decaf of the same kind/brand of coffee). The more caffeine you have, the less of an effect it will have on you, so it's really best not to overdo it.
Stay away from cream and sugar (it's fine to use a little, or skim or 1% milk, just not too much) and special "coffee" drinks (like frappacinos or coolattas or machiattos) because they are really, really bad for you. Full of fat and sugar.
A nice skim, decaf latte is delicious and a great source of calcium.

in moderation it's ok. Look, you have your whole life to drink coffee...You should concentrate on your studies.
