They are COMPLETELY different drinks, so it's just a matter of taste...
A White Mocha is a hot latte made w/ white mocha syrup, espresso and steamed milk...
The DCCF is a cold drink made w/ a cream base mix, regular mocha syrup, chocolate chips, and blended w/ ice...it has no coffee taste to it....
I think the DCCF is too chocolatey....so if i get it, i actually add shots of espresso to cut down on the sweetness...
I don't like the White Mocha hot, either...i prefer it iced...

they are both wonderful. I vote drink them both.
All I ever get at Starbucks is the white chocolate mocha. I've tried other things there but in my opinion, the white chocolate mocha is the best.
Soy decaf Caramel Macchiato is my personal favorite.
i get the caramel frappuccino. it's the BOMB! get extra caramel too!
