Tea has just become a british institution, i dont like coffee anyway.

I used to drink tea all the time, but I stopped, not sure why. I drink a lot of water now.

i dunno really, its a good social drink. if someone calls to your house you put the kettle on and have a catch up over a pot of tea, its warm, low in fat, convenient, and it tastes nice!

I like my early morning cuppa - have it from the Teasmade with a couple of biscuits, then switch to coffee for most of the day.
Tea became the real British Insitution during the War years when the only coffee we could get was ground acorns or the occasional bottle of "Camp" coffee with chicory.

I find a cup of tea refreshing and relaxing. I like trying different types such as Earl Grey or Darjeeling or spiced Indian tea (chai masala).

I went through a phase of drinking herbal teas but I am back to "normal" tea now. White tea and green tea are pleasant alternatives to black tea.

I drink loads of tea, though not black tea. I love it because it's warm and cozy, it tastes good, it gives me a feeling of relaxation and being at home.
I also drink it for my health.
I drink at least 1 liter of green tea or rooibos tea for the anti oxidants, which is supposed to be very good for you. Besides that I at least drink one more liter of herbal tea every day. This way I also get enough water.

I love tea because I grew up with it. My mother loved drinking tea and we would, everyday, make a big pot after big pot of tea. So now it's like a comfort thing and still enjoy drinking it.

But as to why we like it in the first place I think it has something to do with the calming effects of tea. I know it does contain caffeine but it's still herbal and can really relax you.

It is the cheapest elegance of the western world.
