If you read the label, it really isn't too bad for you. It has only 50 Calories and 13 grams of sugar. (I have a bottle right in front of me) lol

It isn't exacty a good alternative to water because in order to have a healthy diet, you NEED water all the time every day. I drink VW when I swim on my team or do other sports (tennis, soccer etc.) So I guess you could drink it for that, but not too much. A bottle per day if you really like the stuff.

no.... its actually like having a vitamin overdose if you drink an entire bottle.... doctors have been getting patients that com in with abnormal health problems, just because they drank like two bottles of the stuff...so its okay, but just every once in a while <3

Short answer- no. It is loaded with sugar, and its health benefits are grossly exaggerated. If any product has high fructose corn syrup you run the risk of obesity related illness. You run the same risk drinking that sweet stuff as any other.

Long answer- maybe. You need to learn to drink plain water, and the only decent alternative is un-sweetened tea. But hydration is the foundation of health, so don't overdo the sugary drinks but vitamin water is a better choice than regular carbonated soda.

Vitamin water is fortified with various vitamins and other additives, including a sweetener that adds calories to the drink. If you're eating a balanced diet or taking a multivitamin, you won't likely benefit from drinking vitamin water. If you're trying to lose weight, the calories in vitamin water will only work against you. And if you have heart or kidney disease, the potassium in some types of vitamin water may be a concern. Too much potassium can interrupt your heart or kidney function. Remember, fruits, vegetables and other whole foods are the best sources of vitamins and minerals. Of course, water is important, too. If you don't care for plain water, try sparkling water or a squirt of lemon or cranberry juice in your water.

About the caloric content... they try to trick you by saying there are only 50 calories. There are actually 2.5 servings per bottle, so there are 125 calories. Still not drastic, but very sneaky of them, no? That turns me off of Vitamin Water.
Obviously, no one is going to drink less than half of a Vitamin Water. The bottles aren't very big.

Also: drink flavored seltzer water instead!

well it definetly has more sugar for water and calories but otherwise they do not lie about the vitmins but it is not a good alternate for water because of the contents

I drink it once in a while, I don't drink it ALWAYS, if that's what you're asking. I think plain water is best, because Vitamin Water has all these chemicals that make it flavored and they include vitamins in it too! Plain water is pure, no chemical- well no chemicals like the ones found in Vitamin water! And get this, No Calories!
