What's with the new Coca Cola bottle cap?!

Question: So I've noticed in the past month or two they seem to have suddenly phased in a new bottle cap on Coca Cola products. It's smaller and lighter, with wider grooves -- my only thought is that it's a response to the Poland Springs 'eco-friendly bottle' thing. Perhaps they're trying to show they use less plastic too.

Has anyone seen this new cap? Is it a national roll-out, regional? Or am I in a test area?

The new caps sucks. Its no where near as easy to screw it back on.

I've noticed it too...maybe they're just being eco-friendly,or they're just trying to save money.

It takes fewer turns to get the top off. So you get to drink it sooner.

Since plastic is a petroleum product, and gas is at an all time high, my guess is that they are trying to save money. If they wanted to be "eco-friendly" they'd go back to using glass bottles.

I've noticed the new cap. Kinda weird at first. I live in New Jersey.
