Fructose is a sugar, the sweetest naturally occurring one. It's found in a lot of foods. High Fructose Corn Syrup is processed in order to increase the fructose content. So it has more sugar than corn syrup. According to wikipedia:

It is easier to blend and transport because it is a liquid.
