Why is tea not advisable for children?!

Question: Never heard of tea not being good for children. Possibly because of the caffiene, but it really doesn't have much caffiene. Green tea has hardly any and Red tea has no caffiene. Black tea has the most caffiene out of them all. But not nearly as much as coffee. There are plenty of naturally decaffienated teas. I don't know what the difference is but The Republic of Tea makes a kind of tea specially for children. http://www.republicoftea.com/templates/d...

Because of the caffeine probably. It keeps the children awake therefore they lose sleep and it's probably not healthy for them

I grew up drinking real tea for my girlie "Tea Parties"
I remember it was Lipton tea ..... I have given my kids tea (diluted) when they were younger. They are now teens and they love tea....especially "Chai" tea.

tea should not be drunk by children because its dark and the color is bad on them because there so young and the sugar is not good for them it makes them hyper active

they say its from the suger intake but there is only suger init if u put it in there i grew up drinking the stuff and im fine

Most likely because of the caffeine. Although tea does not contain as much caffeine as coffee, children still may not take to it so well. However, I'm sure they'll be fine drinking it as long as it's not before bed. I had tea as a child and chamomille helped when I was sick. Tea is good for everyone, maybe they even sell caffeine-free tea?

I would say it's the caffiene that is not good for children. They have enough energy and don't need any help from stimulates.
