What is the difference between 1% and 2% partly skimmed milk?!

2% milk is 2% fat, and 1% milk is 1% fat. If you want to lose weight, 1% would be better for you. Most adults eat too much fat, so it's good to cut down on fat from milk, especially since the fat in milk is over half saturated fat.

For kids though, whole milk or 2% (depending on age and size, talk to your paediatrician or child health nurse) is better, because they need the fat to help their brain grow.

Also, if you're underweight, or have certain medical conditions (like cystic fibrosis) you might need to eat a high-fat diet.

it's purely preference, 2% contains more milk fats than 1%

I like having whole around, because it comes out better when used in recipes, but normally I drink NF or soy.

the amount of milk fat -1 is a smaller number than 2.
