Does Starbucks put drugs in their coffee?!

Question: I have a feeling this will get deleted judging by the fact that google and yahoo both had no search results even addressing my question, but does anyone know anything? I assume they do since it's been stricken from the popular search engines, but I can only speculate.

If you want my most paranoid idea, I think they genetically modify or cross-breed the coffee bean with the cocaine plant or some other addictive substance plant, and since it's in another country, the proof is not easy to find. The rest, thoughts are contagious - you don't want the coffee, but the dingbat next to you does, so you pick up the thought and mistake it as your thought.

Back in the late 90s, there was an article I read how scientists can genetically modify corn so that the pigs that eat the corn always want to eat more. It is possible to make an addictive plant through genetic modification. And here come the black helicopters to pick me up.

No they don't.

Nope. Are you paranoid or just sleep deprived?

No. The only things in Starbuck's coffee are coffee beans and (natural) caffeine, plus whatever weird flavorings they might add to create some variety.

i hear tell they put nicotine extract in it to make it more addictive.

Not likely, as someone somewhere at some pont would have had some sort of allergic reaction and it would have been exposed. I could be wrong, I really don't know. Although, I would like to blame them for my coffee addiction, as I do not want to accept the blame myself.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... if they did we would sue them

caffeine

Hmmm like a double mocha coka?
That would be prohibitively expensive. they wouldnt gain anything by doing it but major prison time. so i say no.

No but i love those strawberry frapp a whoooole lot though!

I would hope not! :) FDA would never approve of it -- FDA is the reason why we don't have cocaine in Coca-Colas anymore.

I agree with Noelle. There must be several things they can do before the packers or the workers even see it.
Next time you go, don't finish your coffee. Take the remains with you & find out everything it contains. A science teacher might be able to help. Poison Control loves to do experiments. And the Health Dept. (who has drs. & labs), I think would certainly be interested.

of course not. are you on crack?

I think its also high caffeine content, but I don't suspect drugs. I do know that they're not fully fair trade as they claim to be and I also know the CEO uses his profits to support israels side of the israel palestine war. For those reasons I've boycotted them, even though I used to really love them.

I bet McDonalds puts drugs in their food. I know in Asia they over salt the food to make it really addictive.

doubt it

OH SURE THEY DO...and Pizza Hut puts dog food on their pizzas too.....Yeah...sure they do...

ummm...not like illegal drugs but they put nicotine exract in it to make it more addictive....
