What is the difference in shaken or stirred drinks?!

Question: do they taste differently?

Answers: do they taste differently?

007 is Bond, James Bond as the movie ad says! Ian Fleming, the author of the James Bond books, made a big deal of Bond's preferences in food, drink, cigarettes and women.

There is a definite difference in shaken and stirred mixed drinks. The shaken ones are a bit frothy if served immediately after the shaking, while the stirred ones are not frothy at all.

For Bond and other martini drinkers, the theory was that shaking the martini while making it would "bruise" the final product, or cause it to be a little frothy when it was poured out. This apparently is a no-no for serious martini drinkers.

no they dont

the difference is in the method they are produced, and you will find your first question self explanatory.
as for the second question, the same cocktail made shaken or stirred will taste the same.

shaken means shaken with ice in a drink shaker. it cools the liquids down. That can make them seem to taste smoother.

Shaking a cocktail mixes the ingredients better than stirring, especially when they are on ice. This can effect the flavour as sometimes the spirits will not mix properly when stirring as they will settle either at the bottom or on top.

Quit giving answers that sound smart but aren't. Shaken means the bartender shakes the drink. Stirred means the bartender stirs it with something. You get a different texture, but it's the same. The question isn't that hard, people.
