Why does natural mineral water have a sell by date?!

Question: Its just the law that says they have to put a use by date on food and drink.

Answers: Its just the law that says they have to put a use by date on food and drink.

It dosnt really... go off, its just the law to attach one, like most foods, they dont go off past the "eat by date" but, if that what you mean, you got it wrong, coz the "sell by date" is just a date to tell you when it goes off the shelf.. And its ellegal not to have it

most food and drink things kept in containers have a use by date as nothing really lasts forever in a container, but a sell by date is just when it has to be sold from the shop.

Let me help here, I work in a grocery store. "Sell by date" doesn't necessarily mean expiration date, it just means that the product is at it's freshest before that date, so stores must sell it by that point or pull it off the shelf to maintain the quality and good reputation of the manufacturer. Since we're talking about water, I'm positive it will be good after the sell by date, but the water might taste a little stale.

all consumables have to have a sell by date, to protect themselves more than anything else

Suppose its the bottles that are the problem, same
as when they are empty, they lay about all over
being non biodegradable.

maybe because the captured germs and critters they pawn off are going to get so big that you can see them swimming around and going to the bathroom in the water(similar to having to change the water in your pet gold fish tank)

The use by date is above the label an example---

The minerals in the water vibrate causing the water to stay fresh. Once you open the bottle, some of the minerals escape which makes the water go warm.
