Why does Red Bull use the slogan 'Red Bull gives you wings' when it obviously doesn't???!

Question: The announcer in the commerical even says it doesn't, so why do they use 'Red Bull gives you wings' for a slogan??

Answers: The announcer in the commerical even says it doesn't, so why do they use 'Red Bull gives you wings' for a slogan??

Well it's obviously smart advertising. It states that it gives you wings but it is really a metaphor, if you will, of the fact that it gives you the energy to tackle anything. Meaning that any task that you attempt will be much easier since you feel like you have wings. It boosts your confidence if anything.

It's called "hyperbole" and it doesn't bother people with something called "an imagination".

Maybe coz it gives u a caffine "lift"???

xxxxxxxxxxx

they are saying it will make you "fly" aka make you hyper

"gives you wings" is a metaphor for the fact that it gives you energy and "makes you fly" would be my guess.

they want you to think that you will "feel" like you have wings they make you wabt to try... its just a marketing thing

wow ur n4ot smart red bull does give you wings......gosh

Advertising

I know what you mean; it gets old after a while.
And It was a little disappointing, I can't fly.

Well, it actually gives you "wiings".
Maybe it means something in another language.
Possibly Swahili for "Herpes".

Bwahaha xD

Eh. Go Hyperbole!

It's an ad slogan. Chevy trucks say they are like a rock even though they look nothing like a rock.

it might have somethink to do with the redbull air race.

i say cuz it makes you high like wings?

:)

"It's called 'hyperbole' and it doesn't bother people with something called"... a brain

very good answer to a ridiculous question
