Is drinking Earl Gray tea good for you in anyway?!

Question: The big thing about bergamot oil, which is used to flavor the tea, is it's smell (of course... he he) - so I guess based on what a person takes into their nose their mood can change:

"Earl Grey Tea as an Antidepressant
Bergamot, the key ingredient in Earl Grey tea, is often used to treat depression. The Crystal Garden in Florida reports on the the aromatherapy benefits of bergamot. It is used to treat depression, stress, tension, and fear, and consuming it in tea form may offer some soothing and relaxation during troubled times."

Antioxidants.... how much, probably as much as other teas (because it's not coming from the bergamot oil)

"Earl Grey Tea as an Antioxidant
Black tea has long been consumed for its antioxidant properties, and Earl Grey is just one of black tea that works well in complementary medicine."

Ok, this next one isn't really scientifically backed up

"Earl Grey Tea as a Fever Reducer
The American Botanical Council reports on the history of bergamot in Italian folk medicine, and the plant itself is grown exclusively along the coast of Calabria, Italy. (Source: American Botanical Council ) Bergamot is widely used to reduce fever and intestinal problems, and may even improve digestion for a weak immune system."

yes it is its an antioxident. like a cleanser of the whole human body from the inside. i drink it all the time.

aside from containing lots of antioxidants (which all tea contains) there aren't any *special* things in Earl Grey tea. It does make my taste buds very happy (its my favorite tea).

There is a "Green Earl Gray" that is very healthy for you.
"Taylors of Harrogate" produce this wonderful green tea
( flavored with natural bergamont).
Better for you then the black Earl Gray.
