Tap water contains quite alot of stuff that people aren't aware of....chlorine and flouride being the two most common. On top of that, the water that comes from the tap also goes through alot of pipes and if you use hot water from your tap you are leeching chemicals from your pipes (if they are not pvc). We purchase our water from Purified Water To Go. We buy in large quantities and have a dispenser. We fill our own bottles that we have purchased. I think buying cases of bottled water is a waste. Especially if people don't recycle, but, being aware of what we are putting into our bodies is a great thing.

Nothing is really wrong with it if you like pharmaceuticals with it. Bottled, or at least purified water will find an increase in sales after all the reports of prescription drugs in the water. It is not required to test for prescription drugs. They found a lot of birth control medicine in San Fransisco's water. Not exactly what I would order with my water.

If you buy water labeled "purified or enhanced", you are being taken for a ride by the bottler-those waters are nothing more than tap water put in a plastic bottle, creating even more issues since the plastic leaches chemicals into the water. Tap water is FULL of chemicals. Most people don't realize that the water that comes out of the tap is the same water that was flushed down the toilet-it has just been cleaned up and sanitized with chemicals. I like spring water, from my own deep well. Filtering will NOT remove all of the chemicals and such from tap water. I don't want to drink something that had feces, vomit, and who knows what else floating in it-sanitized, or not. If you think I am wrong, do a little research, and ask your local water department for a list of the chemicals they use to treat the water-if you want a REAL shock, go visit the water treatment plant. If you can still drink tap water after that, you have a much stronger stomach then I do..........

When a label says the water is "purified", that just means it has chemical in it. If it says "enhanced with minerals", that means the same thing, except calcium chloride was added-still a chemical, still nasty, and still deceptive.

Well recently we have had to buy bottled water because there were too many chemicals put into our water and therefor eit had an extremely bad taste. it was undrinkable.

I use tap water, but I put it in a filter water pitcher in the fridge. We stopped buying plastic bottles, we recycle, refill, and reuse!

It's so crazy that life's free-est materials became "bottled" and sold...the sun and water!

I think while many say that it is for the chemicals, it is for the convenience of not having to bottle their own water anymore. Hundreds of studies have come out saying tap water is 100% safe to drink, even with the chemicals (because they have so little bits per million) and will not affect anyone.

Bottled water is just as crazy as people tanning in a tanning bed, even though we have sun most hours of the day.

i agree that it is a waste of money , but tap water actually contains a large number of chemicals that we shouldn't really be taking in. chlorine actually dehydrates you. so you are right it is a waste but i prefer bottled water.

the only reason we buy bottled water now is because there was something bad in my towns water..... and i think they fixed it but it tastes disgusting now.......

it depends on the area...too
i know that where i lived my dentist told me that the tap water is also much better for you because it contains fluoride.

If you live in good old England you can drink the tap waterr with no fear, I don't know about other countries maybe their drinking wate is not clean enough for human consumption, hence they drink bottled water, so they must have a reason to do so.

Well where i live the city ppl keep sending out papers saying something is wrong with the water so...
