Peet's coffee is great.

You can order via their website, and it's roasted right before it's shipped. It doesn't get any better than that.

As for some strong blends, Italian blend is bold and so is French Roast (among others).

If you go Peet's website, it gives you a clear idea of what the different coffees are like, and there are also customer reviews.

I'd check them out. Peets.com.

I love Dunkin Donuts coffee. Go there and see if they have something in a gift basket to give your friend.

gavalia is a very good tasting coffe it run around $7.00 a half pound you can order it on line just look up the name .

I second the person who said Gevalia. But you might need the correct spelling to find the site. Actually, I'll even enter the link below to make it that much easier..

My favorite and something I treat myself to only once in awhile as the price is a bit steep, is Jamacian Blue.

It is strong as well as one of the smoothest I've ever tried.

If the price is a bit high for you....maybe get a pound and cut it into two so yu can get to try this most wonderful coffee yourself.

From Peerless out of Oakland, CA (peerless.com)

Their Kona, Riviera French, or Dark Chocolate Truffle are all amazing.
