Starbucks Vanilla Creme?!

Question: Okay so I go in Starbucks quite alot for the lattes and frapps, but this Vanilla creme thing has interested me. But also confused me. I'm told if you ask for a vanilla creme, you will get a hot milk drink, think it used to be called a vanilla steamer. And if you ask for a vanilla creme frapp you'll get a milkshakey kinda thing. But when I last went into Starbucks it says on the menu Vanilla Creme as a cold drink...not wanting to make an idiot out of myself when I order, can anyone shed some light on this mystery?!

A Vanilla Creme is a hot drink. You can say 'steamer' and they will know what you want, but we officially say Vanilla Creme to describe the hot drink w/ vanilla syrup and milk

On the menu, under frappucinos, it says 'Blended Creme' to describe the frappucinos that are made with a creme base, as opposed to a coffee base.. And it's a Vanilla Bean Frappucino that's made with that base.

But don't ever worry about looking like an idiot...their job is to help you figure out what you want and how to order it properly. Ask questions!

you just have to say whether you want it as frappuccino or hot or iced. Try ordering a vanilla creme frappe. it is so yummy.:D

Vanilla creme is a frappucino(the cold one!) You wont get a steamer unless you ask for a vanilla steamer! Trust me, i worked for them for 2 years!

I asked my girlfriend who used to be a Starbucks Barista, and she confirms that the vanilla creme as a hot drink is what you're looking for. And if you're not positive, and want to be sure ASK. They will gladly tell you the difference, and if the name is changed, how to order it next time.

Don't be afraid to ask, nobody there's going to ridicule you for it unless they're real asshats.

just ask for an ICED Vanilla Creme. If you order a latte, it will come hot, unless you ask for an ICED latte
