'Horlicks'....do you remember?!

Question: ..the little rolls of Horlicks sweets you used to buy from chemist shops? Does anyone know if you can still get them? Maybe you work in a chemists and sell them. Perhaps you have seen them in other shops. My mum used to buy us them after we visited the doctors and got our perscription done. Fond memories-great taste.

I remember they were originally sold as oblong tablets in tins, then later in rolls. I was addicted to them.
Ovaltine tablets were still available for a few years after they stopped making the Horlicks ones. Oddly enough Ovaltine tablets are still made under licence in the Philippines and are sold in strips.

Not seen them for ages.

Yes I used to love them but I don't know if they still sell them as I don't live in the UK anymore.

Oh yes! As Bob Hope used to say "Thanks for the memories"

Yes but they are/were very high in calories. Try a spoon and a jar of horlicks - lasts much longer lol. I also love eating instant hot chocolate powder, and dried milk powder - gee I'm gross

Never heard of those, but I used to get spoonfuls of the powder directly into my mouth and chew on it. Tasted almost like the inside of a malteser.

Yes, there is a company called "Vermont Country Store", they are $16.95 for 4 boxes. Just go to VermontCountryStore.com

yes..?

:o) yep i remember them! We also used to get them when we were waiting for our prescription from the chemist. Ain't seen 'em for years.
