Yeah over 100ozs a day will give you electrolite problems. (if you are doing it all the time .... like not working out and just drinking)

If your really thirsty all the time check with dr about diabetes.

You can totally die from drinking too much water. However, it's like 10-20 gallons at a time. I doubt you're drinking too much water. If your drinking because you can't get enough, you might want to go to the doctors to see if you are a diabetic.

Actually you can drink too much water... a little while back a women died of too much water. A radio station was holding a competition for a wii and who ever drank the most water would win it. A nurse even called into the radio station to tell them that it was not a good thing to do because the water would deplete the salt in your body. That day she ended up dieing because of this horrible accident. So you can but I don't think you could drink that much in a day. Here is the link to this story...

no. the thing about the old lady winning the wii and dieing from drinking to much water is a myth.

Just like dehydration, your body can be harmed from too much fluid. If you drink a large quanitity in one day (like 3 gallons), you can overhydrate your body. This causes your cells to have too much fluid and possibly lyse (rupture)....which creates big problems as you may guess.

But no one drinks that much water. Drinking 64 oz. (8 glasses) seems like a lot-but is the reccomended amount. Don't worry about drinking too much. Making an effort to drink a lot water daily is great for your body is so many ways!

You shouldn't drink too much water! Yes this can be bad for you. you should drink half your weight in oz. a day!
