Aspartame?!

Question: Some people say aspartame is really bad for you but I can't find substantial evidence on-line about the health risks. All of the people online who say it is bad seem more like conspiracy theorists than anything else. What mass quantities of aspartame do to a lab rat have nothing to do with the effects small amounts will have on adults. I drink diet soda religiously so can someone point out an honest scientific study as to the negative effects?

I hear ya. I have decided to cut out diet soda completely and all things "fake sugar"...and I'll tell you what: I feel awesome. Anyways, here's a really good video documentary about Apartame. It's long, but worth the watch. It's called "sweet misery." I doubt you'll ever drink a diet soda after watching it. By the way, my uncle died of a brain tumor. He drank diet soda religiously too. Good luck.

soda makes you dehydrated. drink water instead

Well my friend's dad shakes every so often, disabling him because when he shakes it's like convulsions, and the doctors says it's because of the aspartame. So he's in a wheelchair and can't work because of the effects of aspartame.

The majority of the articles 'defending' aspartame are authored by 'scientists' associated with the company!
Seems to me, I wouldn't really trust a company like Monsanto - who developed Agent Orange, bovine growth hormone, PCBs, and genetically modified organisms.
How much safer it would be to cut calories by drinking water instead, or if you're really hooked on sweet stuff, to have something with real sugar - but limit yourself.

Beats me, I can't get passed the banana after taste...
