How can I overcome the inability to drink plain tasteless water?!

Question: i always mix the flavor such as crystal light lemonade or lipton greentea.. i used to drink the plain water without any problem until like 1 year ago, but I can't stand the gross and bitter taste of plain water anymore..

wouldn't there be any way to get over this unhealthy influence?

Put a slice of lemon in it.
Try a slice of orange in it
Try putting alot of ice in it.

you could try oranges, lemon, or cucumbers in you water.
i dislike water too, so i'm a huge fan of Propel. its healthy, very few calories and has a very subtle taste.

Put a little lemon ,lime ,strawberry, cucumber not all together but separately. The cucumber is very refreshing

add lots of ice lemon or orange or just and ceystal light

I like to add a slice of lime, sometimes lemon, or orange even.

are you drinking straight from the tap? if so that would be your problem. try buying gallons of spring water... not distilled or purified but Spring water... it tastes awesome... also, lots of ice and a slice of lemon makes it taste great!

Try getting a Brita or some other water filter so the water tastes cleaner.

Then start weaning yourself off of crystal light etc... Add less and less powder to your water until you're used to drinking water again. Artificial sweeteners are no good.

Well, for one, the idea that people need to drink 8 glasses of water per day has been debunked by medical research. You get water from foods too.

Fitness (or vitamin) waters can often have extra calories that you may not need, considering that they are empty calories.

Don't force yourself to do it. Drink water when you're thirsty, and don't try to drink an entire glass at a time. It can be really disgusting if you're not accustomed to it.

Unsweetened green tea is a good substitute for water. Plus, it's actually good for you. Even if you do add a tiny bit of sugar, you're actually meeting your daily requirement of fluid intake and enjoying it in the process. I'd probably pick a better brand for the sake of quality and flavor, but that's up to you.

Ugh! I know what you mean! I hate some of the bottled water also. Disani (sp) and some other bottled water is yucky to me too. The ONLY kind of bottled water is Aquafina. The regular and flavored water is good. Or try getting you a filter to put on your faucet at home. You can get them with flavors, and squirt in as much, or little, flavor you want. But they are great. I fill up a clean milk jug with the filtered water, sit it in the fridge, and it is great! lol. Good Luck!!!!

Don't waste money on bottled water, get something like a Brita pitcher, and drink the water REALLY cold.

I find after excercising i crave water, anything that gets you dehydrated will made you want water. As for just having a glass of water I hardly ever do.

Perhaps try putting a pitcher (glass is best) of water into the refrigerator with 1/2 a lemon or lime in it? Perhaps it will be more refreshing this way, and the refrigerator will get it nice and cold for you

it's something i've always done, and that's my best suggestion.

Try the Eternal brand of spring water. It can be found in the Whole Foods supermarket. It tastes better than other spring waters. Drink it chilled.
