Turn Coke into Sprite?!

Question: I have seen coke being filtered and "de-colored" into "Sprite." In other words, something was inserted into coke, and when filtered, the coke turned clear. Unfortunately, I don't remember the procedure.

I think you can mix one part Coke and one part ginger ale to make Sprite.
