Why do they have "nutrition facts" on almost all water bottles?!

Question: I will be choosing a best answer.

Answers: I will be choosing a best answer.

LMFAO! i swear i've thought about this for YEARS. honestly, years. and it's stupid because in America most of our bottled water has been purified and everything has been removed. But it is a FDA law that requires there to be a nutrition label on EVERYTHING... and also in other countries (like italy, france, etc) there are many bottled water companies that provide vitamins and minerals (like phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, etc.) in the water.

US FDA label laws

yes, they usually do.

Some people want to know how much it contains of something..for example, if it was filtered properly, etc. Also, it is mandatory for all companies to put labels on everything. Even if it is unnecessary for you and me, its required. What a waste of trees...

because its now the law that they do as if your on a calory diet even some waters have hidden nutrition

yes it is in the FDA law, it is something that you consume.

its due to heath codes no matter what product. you can go to fast food websites to see there. i know that has nothing to do with it but it shows that every thing has nutrition facts its illegal not to have it

I think that it is a service to the customer (the viewer, reader, etc) that these all look nearly identical. To have labels on all foods and beverages.

Yes, it's law. However, have you looked at them? Some of these water products have an awfully high sodium or even sugar content. Be careful what you drink! Thanks to FDA laws, we can be an informed public.

haha i never thought about that. yeah why bother wasting tree when the nutrition facts for water are all zeros. haha. but not all water are the same they come from different places and mountains. lol. theres just people who taste water differently.. like crystal, fuji.. aquafina.. something.. and so one.. and even i taste the difference sometime... i think crystal tastes best to me.. i can just taste the difference, sometimes other water taste like water that stayed in heat to long...

The law.
It has to be on anything that consumable.
