Many years ago, Coca Cola tried to change their taste to be more like Pepsi. There was an uproar from the public. This is why we now have one Coca Cola labelled "Classic Coke". It is the old flavor.
Coke is good and Pepsi sucks. That is the difference.

Coka Cola rules, and the Coke made in Mexico is better than the stuff made here. The Mexican Coke is made with sugar instead of corn syrup.
I don't know their both too sugary for my taste. They taste different and I think Pepsi has more caffeine in it.

Coca cola was invented first and is from the South, specifically from Atlanta, by my ancestor Asa Candler. Pepsi is from "away". So, don't drink it.
But did I ever get any of that Candler fortune??? Nooooo! But I don't care, I'm able to live modestly yet quite comfortably.
I know more of the difference between diet coke and diet pepsi. Coke has aspertame in it and is really bad for arthritis. Pepsi has sacharin in it and is bad to cause cancer. But I think you'd have to drink a whole lot of Pepsi before it would affect you. So, it's bad to drink diet coke and not so bad to drink diet pepsi. But diet coke tastes better to me.
But your question is valid since their tastes are barely discernably different.
