How do you make coffee in a pot?!

Question: I don't have a coffee machine, so I want to make it in a pot. But my question is, in order to get 1 cup of coffee, how much water and how many table spoons (or other measurement) of coffee should I put into the pot to boil it? How do I know when it is ready?

I think I saw someone do this before.
Get a cheesecloth or anything else to strain the coffee with,
Boil some water (enough to make one cup)
Place the cheesecloth over a cup
Put coffee in the cheesecloth (about 1 TBLS)
Pour the water through the cloth & coffee
Now you should have coffee!
Hope it works!

first you need the instant coffee then you need to boil some water in a pot then add the coffee then add the sugur and creamer that you like if you don' have instant then use a cheesse cloth to keep all the bits of off out of your cup

I have used this method before when I was moving and packed my coffee maker:
I take 2 tablespoons coffee and put them into a paper towel and place that into a large funnel (be suer to fold the top of the paper towel over when you place it into the funnel or it will leak when it gats wet)
Boil just over a cup of water in a small sauce pan (the ceooff grounds will absorb some if the water, so you want to use a little more water)
Pour the hot water over the funnel with the grounds into a cup, and there you have it. This works every time!

Good luck!

From the days before we had drip makers ~ Place enough coffee (1 TBSP per cup) into a pot of cold water. Place the pot on the stove. When steam rises from the pot, the coffee is hot and ready. Methods to remove the coffee grounds include wrapping the coffee in cheesecloth, (before you put it in the pot), pouring a cup of cold water in the coffee pot (this causes the grounds to fall to the bottom of the pot so you can pour the hot coffee off the top). Or a cup strainer (same as you would use for loose tea).

usually when i make coffee 4 my dad in a cup, it was half a tablespoon. maybe it's about 2 or 2 and a half tablespoon.

put the tablespoons of coffee into the pot.
put 3 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
add boiling water (as much as desired)
stir
all done!

remember, the more water you add, the more coffee & sugar u need
