I would like to get a new coffee-maker as a gift but there are so many different ones. Any ideas?!

Question: Ideally it should have an automatic shut-off. Thanks!

Mr. Coffee is awesome.

Keurig rox!

The brand isnt the most important thing to making a good coffee its the beans and skill of the operator so i would say just get a basic quality machine.

If i were to recieve a coffee machine as a gift, I would like the kind that has a built in grinder/stainless steel thermal coffee pot/programmable. Its practical and buying fresh beans makes a way better cup of coffee than folgers. I see too many cappacino makers in gargage sales and second hand stores.

Absolutely Keurig - when people come over I make them coffee with it and they are sold! I tmakes it one cup at a time and each person get to choose what coffee they like or tea or even hot cocoa. My husband doesn't like coffee and so he makes the hot cocoa - and I get a freshly brewed cup of coffee each morning without having to brew an entire pot which most offen goes to waste. Love that machine - I even bought three of them for each of our homes.

I am a coffee lover and I swear the best coffee I've ever made is in my glass French Press. Mine is a brand called Bodum, but theres lots of different kinds. It makes the freshest, most delicious coffee ever and theres no need for shut off since it is not plugged in. You should go to a good coffee house and ask for a french pressed coffee to test it out- you won't be sorry!
