That's true of pretty much everything I cook.

YES!! Cadburys Easter eggs... they smell soooooo nice but when you eat them they are just regular chocolate.

dear Friend!
add some sugar and some salt! try your dish before finishing and add what YOU feel make it right to your dream taste! I am no prof cook, but I cook by hobby; let me tell you i mad a rather passable SAUCE PIQUANTE to go with easy friend pork chops without having to use all the steps offered by the GreandMasters, although this may be the right way.
cooking is a travel into deep feelings of taste. then always sit and enjoy. never miss it because it is YOU who likes it first.
also if your sauce stays watery or strong and acid to the tasteadd....some cetchup! stirr little by little while tasting.

I find organic food tastes as nice as it looks if fresh so the more local the better.
I used to smoke and this had an affect on my taste buds as does mono-sodium glutamate and you find that in all sorts of meals and take aways and once you stop eating it the food tastes less. It is a food enhancer that messes with your tongue.

Yes !

yes i have noticed that, it seems to have a wonderful smell and then when you eat it ,it isnt what you suspect it,

Yes I totally agree with you
