What is your preferred brand of bottled water?!

Question: The taste of city water bothers me even though I've heard that the water here (Austin, TX) is among the best tasting.

I tried those water filters (Britta) and I thought the water tasted metallic. I tried the pitcher as well as the faucet filter.

A while ago I gave in and started buying bottled water. After going through countless different brands, I've come to favor Fiji and Voss Artesian waters. I particularly like the glass bottle that Voss comes in. It could just be a merchandising trick, but I think the water tastes cleaner than water bottled in plastic bottles. Fiji water appeals to me b/c it tastes very crisp and their 1.5 liter bottle fits perfectly into the cup-holder of my treadmill, haha.

Now, this is just a little survey of sorts but I'd appreciate if you could tell me not only what your favorite brand is but why you prefer it above other brands and whether or not you recycle your bottles after you use them. One-word answers will not get "best answer."

Thanks guys!

I love fiji because of taste and the unique square bottle. I would love to try voss but cant find it locally. I too think water tastes much more crisp and clean out of glass. Seems to taste colder too but it could be all in my head. Tau water is awesome as well but its spring not artesian. as is antipodes. Also glass bottles. Neat clean simple design too.

1Litre water gets my vote for best design because it comes with its own drinking cup

Check out the links to these waters:

kirkland because it is fresh. i dont like aquafina because it tastes really funky. i cant describe it.

Ozarka is still the best.

well i love fiji water. but to tell you the truth I forgot all about it. I drink Crystal Geyser water. It is really good. yes I do recycle my botles. as well with cans etc.Crystal Geyser is really good and crisp tasting. and it comes cheap. Good Luck.

Any taste fine to me, i usually get crystal geyser for the home. But when i'm out and want a water i just get whatever they have. I hate water with sodium(salt) in it-it doesn't quench my thirst and tastes bad(like Evian). In Europe almost all the water has some sodium in it-i would have paid big money to have a fresh nonsodium water form the usa!

I come from New York and the tap water is among the elite. But now that i'm in Philly I resort to an alternative source of good tasting water. I'm not picky. I like Poland Spring and Acquafina. I know a lot of that stuff is filtered tap water but it still tastes better than Philly water. What I just started doing taking my jug of water to Whole Foods where they have a refill station of really great tasting water and it only costs you $.49 or so.

Fiji is by far my favorite bottled water. I don't have a bottle handy, but I know there is something naturally occuring in the water that makes it taste so "smooth" for lack of a better description. It is some sort of mineral I think.

From what I heard, avoid Aquafina, it's just like drinking tap water -- just put through a minor purification process. It all depends on your likes and dislikes, for me I like Dansani, but you are talking to somebody that grew up drinking water from the house while playing street football.

But with all the bottled waters out there you could have your pick of having Vitamin water, water with OR without minerals. OR if you are made of money you can go with the fashion name brand waters that are not really any better than the bottle water you find in your Kroger.

Bottled Water is a joke. The price they make you pay for it is completely unreasonable. I have a Reverse Osmosis Filter hooked up to my kitchen faucet, and that takes out every single particle in the water (including bacteria) bringing it down to 0 ppm. This way you're paying less for filtered water, the filtration is the highest grade, it's always available, and you don't have stacks of water sitting in some corner of your house.

fiji

Fiji :]

Idk...the water's good and the bottle is cute :]

Aquafina
Sparkletts
Fiji

I like Desani&Dannon!! But the city I live in,a suburb of Detroit, has their own water system!! And that with a filter system on my fridge, I believe it tastes just as good as bottled water!! When I were a kid & My Family & I would bring along plenty of our good old plain tap water!! And yes we do recycle our bottles!!!
