Sprite is sweeter than 7-Up. If your friends are all young (pre-teen, teen, 20s), then Sprite. If they are older, then 7-Up.
As an alternative you could also bring Selzer Water. That's fizzy and colorless. You should bring one bottle of plain Selzer water as a joke. When your friends complain that it is only water, say, "you didn't say anything about flavor -- you just said fizzy and colorless". Then bring in the Sprite.
