Why do people buy energy drinks like "red bull" or "monster"?!

Question: i felt tired the other day and brought 2 red bulls, cause I need to work, and thought I needed energy badly.

drank two.. I admit, it gave me a little bit more energy, that lasted for like 20 minutes. half an hour later im more tired than ever

and at $2.99 each can, i aint buyin anymore!

I dont like those things they have so much sugar in them!

They buy them to get a quick "up" of energy, or at least I do. I need a little boost sometimes, expensive, yes, but hey, I like it!! It does help a little!!

While I've never tried one my oldest son loves them. But I agree with you, the burst of energy is short lived and then you're tired! And so they drink more. It's a vicious cycle. ;)

I'm glad to see my stalker alive and well and on YA this morning, just following me around giving me thumbs down.

I think the caffein and addetivies in them give people a little little energy but it does not last and can be addictive. I wouldnt drink anything as artificial as these drinks:-)

I like the taste of red bull and yeah, it gives me some energy. I drank one of the 330ml cans once and was up until 2:00 am!

£1.45 or so for a can isn't exactly cheap though, so I try not to buy them that often.

Its a marketing scheme- it gives you a short lived burst- you like it- you buy more- The only problem is that when your body gets used to the items in the drink, your body becomes immune to it and it will not work......you must change energy drinks.......

because they like the flavor and most of the people that drink them are people who have kids

i only buy red bull cos it tastes nice, nothing to do with the energy. although one of my friends drank like 8 then was hypppppperrrr bad
