What's this drink?!

Question: I have a really bad sore throat and cough, my Dr. told me to make a hot drink using water with lemon juice and honey but how much lemon and honey do I use? I think he said 4 oz. of water...can anyone help? Or do you know any other things that will work (not counting medication because I'm pregnant.) Thank you so much!!

You can experiment with the amounts. It's rather like a hot lemonade. I'd start out with 2T of lemon juice and 1 or 2 teaspoons of honey. (I like tart tastes, you modify for your own taste.)

Take care of yourself little mommy.

when I was little my Mom would make me swallow a teaspoon of honey when I had a sore throat. So you could start with that and dissolve it in the water.

Lemonwater is a great drink, it tastes nice and helps against a sore throat.
It may hurt a little, but that only indicates that it's working ;)

I don't know how much water, lemon and honey go into the drink, but make sure to drink plenty of it.

I like to make hot totties when Im sick, but I will minus the liquor since you're pregnant (congratulations!).

Get some green tea bags, lemon, honey and hot water.
Make the tea normally, then i take 1/4 - 1/5 of a lemon and squeeze it in the hot tea, then a tsp or 2 of honey should do it. I stir consistently while I add the honey and if I need to, I add more honey for taste.

By the next morning you'll feel a difference, I promise!

That's what MY mom always gave me too:) The lemon was good for you, because of the Vit. C, and the honey coats your throat to soothe it..... It doesn't matter the proportions. Just mix it so that it tastes good to you. In fact, if you have any Hot Apple Cider mix, you could add the honey & lemon to that ... or even heat up some apple juice and add them ... or just eat a teaspoonful of the honey.....
