Coffee Lovers in the Twin Cities. Caribou, Starbucks or Dunn Brothers?!
I go back and forth between Caribou or Starbucks. Caribou does make much better Mochas though. I've tried to enjoy Dunn Brothers but just can't seem wrap my tongue around their coffee. My favorite independent coffee shop is Audubon on Johnson St. Do you have any favorite local coffee shops you would recommend?
Answers: When given the choice which one do you like best?

I'm a Caribou girl myself. I don't drink much coffee, but caribou does the best job with tea.
But recently a smaller chain, Mountain Mudd, opened up in my area (New Hope/ Crystal/ Robbinsdale) and I've really enjoyed what I've gotten there.
Folgers, classic roast, made at home in a Bunn coffee maker. Its mountain grown you know.Never use soap to clean the pot or the cup.Just rinse if you like.If you haven't tried it,your missing out.
Never settle for a chain store... especially for coffee... I think it may be a sacrilege!
http://www.globalexchange.org/ - and visit their online store for fair-trade coffee from Equal Exchange. Or try http://www.thanksgivingcoffee.com/ or http://www.independencecoffee.com/.
Ask your locally-owned coffee shops to carry fair trade coffee and maybe they will!
Caribou. Totally!!!
I like small coffee business, they blow away the above mentioned.
But sometimes I can't find what I like: 100% Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee.
So I buy online from a small website that sells only that.
www.FASTCAFE.com
Enjoy :)
