Sugar sugar sugar - and it's harder to clean your teeth with braces so the sugar will just stay on your teeth & rot them, then the braces will have been a waste of time & money because you will have rotten teeth. If you're addicted to soda, now is a good time to wean yourself off it - you don't need it - find something healthier to drink.

if you have clear BRACES, then soda will stain them and they won't be clear anymore.
if not, your teeth are harder to clean with your toothbrush around your brackets, so the bad sugar could cause cavities, and the soda could also seep in behind the cement and then you'll have ugly stains on your teeth when you get your braces off.
you'll be okay drinking soda once in a while as long as you brush well or use a straw.
