Yo Starbucks Emplyees:?!


Question: How do you manage to work there without gaining serious weight/developing an addiction for caffeine that would rival a crackhead's.. for crack?

The drinks are freaking FREE for Fs sake whilst working!

I just started working there approx. a week ago, and every day I come in not only do I have at least 2 full drinks that I make for myself, then my coworkers are all "Hey Ace, have you ever had a Green Tea Frappe? You have to taste this!" so then I have a short green tea frappe. And then I have to sample the different brews for my passport so that's not more calories, but it is more caffeine.. I have on average.. added together... 3 or 4 short "fancy drinks" (stuff with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, etc) on it a day when I work.

Dont let yourself drink anything but actual black coffee or tea.
Actually... you'll go through phases... I don't drink Frapps anymore and that's all I liked when I was hired. I drink Americanos now with nothing else or plain unsweetened tea. Trust me.. you'll get tired of the drinks and start taking plain shots of espresso.. my shift two days ago was only 4 hours but I took 6 shots (I'm only 5 foot and 90 pounds). Yeah, you develop quite a tolerance to caffeiene haha I'ts some addicting stuff!!!

STAY AWAY FROM WHIPPED CREAM, FRAPPS, CARAMEL, WHITE MOCHA AND MOCHA!!! oh yeah...HALF AND HALF, THE SYRUPS, AND WHOLE MILK ARE NO NOS TOO NOT TO MENTION THE PASTRIES!!!

also.. drink plenty of water. There's nothing better =)

but I would bet that you poop like a goose!! You shouldn't be worried about your weight... i'd worry about your blood pressure no matter your age

you're new, you'll get sick to it eventually

hahaha i was like that too. i still am. but i started drinking with less calories. for example use nonfat milk with espresso drinks & no whipped cream. drink the iced teas! they're less calories like 60 calories for a tall iced green tea. and just drink like tall frappuccinos. maybe like half of it. and on pastries try the reduced fat or sugar free (they're good too!)
