Expresso machine frother not working?!

Question: I have gotten an espresso machine.

As soon as turned the machine on, I cranked to steam and nothing came out.

This is a used espresso machine by the way.

Any ideas?

I assume you filled the espresso machine with water, right? And I also assume that you can make a cup of coffee.

Second, you have to wait a while until the water is hot and the pressure has built up.

Third, it takes a bit of time for the steam to work it's way through the system.

Did you fill the tank with water? hook up a hose (if it's commercial)?

You may also need to let the machine warm up before you use the steam wand.

you should only need to wait for the water to heat up for a couple mins. if it is a single boiler machine, there is probably a separate setting for steam and espresso. you probably can't pull shots and steam at the same time.
