HI C orange and orange soda?!

Question: Why do people come to McDonald's and ask for Orange soda? They think orange HI C is soda, why?

Soda has carbonation and HI C orange does not.

I've never worked at McDonald's...so i dont know why people do that.... but i know when i go there and want the HI C... i just always ask for "orange drink"
