Vanilla milkshake powder/syrup?!

Question: Why cant i seem to find powder or syrup in the supermarkets?, all they have is strawberry, choc and banana ones.

Coffee stores carry vanilla syrup AND powdered vanilla ... but I've seen flavored syrups in the grocery stores too (did you look on the coffee aisle?) ... also places like World Market would have it

Um, because the ice cream you are going to make your milkshake from is already vanilla??

Vanilla is the most popular flavor for lots of things. We all buy vanilla ice cream and vanilla extract (or essence) and keep these at home all the time. where as chocolate is hard to make and strawberry and banana are specialty flavors.
