Is there a new British 11th commandment: Thou shalt not have cream in thy coffee?!

Question: Is there a new British 11th commandment: Thou shalt not have cream in thy coffee!?
M & S no longer serve it in their cafe unless you make a fuss and refuse to accept milk!. Other coffee shops are the same!.

Even supermarkets seem to have stopped selling individual portion cream-pots in the dairy section! This is but one small example of how we are being dictated to regarding what is supposed to be 'healthy' food and what isn't!. I weigh 50 kilos and have done for decades!. I only ever take cream sparingly and avoid crisps and beefburgers like the plague!. But I resent being effectively 'told' that I cannot have cream in my coffee! Anyone else noticed this and feels strongly about it!? What can we do to overcome this nannying!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Resistance is futile!. You will be happier when you are assimilated into the Collective!.

It doesn't hurt!.!.!.!.!.!.!. MuchWww@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe its not nannying, Maybe its just that fewer people are asking for it, so they stop supplying it!. That happens - I used to always buy decaff ground coffee until one day I was told they didnt stock it anymore cos people didnt want it! Now its everywhere!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Stop going there, find a nice local tea/coffee shop that doesn't belong to a high street brand, they'll give you all the cream you could want, and your supporting local business as well!.

Lets face it the only reason they no longer offer cream as a option is because it would cost them more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The best advice I can give is that you simply boycott those outlets which no longer serve 'real food'!. What's real food then!? It's made of full fat cream, usually of the clotted time!. It has large hefty portions of spuds in it with thickly buttered bread!. It also has honey, donuts and toasted crumpets drippng with butter!.

I'm sick of skinny food!. I'm not fat, but if I'm going to have a slice of toast and marmalade for my breakfast, it's got to be white, fluffy and about half an inch thick and that's just the butter!. Yummmm!

It's like bleeding Macdonalds only two sachets of sugar!. I asked for more and felt like Oliver Twist! They don't get my custom any more!. Instead, I have found a Turkish cafe who have sugar by the bucket load if you want it!. I always have three heaped teaspoons on and in everything!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

lol, men have allways added to the law, this is what Jesus was so upset about with the pharicees and suducees, I guess you could always have a milk goat follow you around to put cream in your coffee!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
