good question!. i dont drink coffee thoughWww@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe because it is becoming a popular thing!? Supply and demand!.!.!.other than that, I am not sure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Becuz they are lazy!. also warming up something is easier than freezing it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

global warming has melted all the ice and it costs a lot now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think they charge you for the ice! LOL!! IDK'Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because you can get hot coffee anywhere!. They have this new thing and people want to try it so they take advantage of that and raise the price!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

making iced coffee is more effort than to make hot coffee!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its because its fancier!. so they can charge more for it because people will pay more for it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cuz they want more money and they cheap so dont care bout them just dont buy dunkin donuts anymore!. yay free pointsWww@FoodAQ@Com

They figure that young people like their **** iced and are not as wise with their money as older people so that's why they charge what they do!.

Or maybe bigger cups!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

supply and demand!!! Hot weather = more demand for cold drinks!.

Try this, ask them for a hot coffee!. Then ask them for a cup of ice in a few!. The coffee they'll make you pay for, the cup of ice they probably don't even have a button for on the register!.
Then stand in front of them and pour your coffee on your ice!. Voila!

They get your point and you get what you want!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Good question!. But this doesn't just apply to them!. Starbucks and Seattle's Best also charges more for their iced coffee!. It's funny because iced coffees have less coffee in them because of all the ice, yet they're more expensive--kind of a paradox i guess!. But maybe they cost more because of a different cup (that has more volume!?) and/or the manpower in having to freeze the coffee in ice after pouring a cup and everything!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ice is a prepared product that is made from water, electricity and freon in a complicated refrigeration device!. Ice has an added cost and therefore has added value!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Making iced coffee is more work and requires more ingredients and supplies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

maybe because it's more work!? first they have to make the coffee (it's hot), then cool it off!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

more ingredients in ice coffeeWww@FoodAQ@Com
