Now you can listen to all these people say the same thing or you can drink something I drank that kept me awake for a long time!. The secret is fruit!. A lot of people know this and some don't, but if you have juicer take different fruits and mix them together!. You can put an apple, strawberry, raspberry, pineapple, peach, and other fruits you like the most!. Drink a big glass of this and you will have energy to run in circles for hours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

because they contain caffeineWww@FoodAQ@Com

maybe you're ADHD!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Caffine makes you crash a few hours after you drink itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Because you're getting a high from the caffeine, then you crash afterwards making you tired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Caffeine just has a reverse effect on some people!. There's no real explanation for it, but it happens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

maybe your body reacts different to all the sugar!. maybe you should try something else like herbal energy pills or the natural 5 hour energy shot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

because all coffee and energy drinks to is give u a boost then after a while a crash what happens is u hit the point of the crash to fast which causes that try green tea it helps fight mental fatigueWww@FoodAQ@Com

OMG, you like must be like the most special person in the world, cuz you arent like affected by CAFFEINE!
OMG! someone call Discovery CHANNEL!

You're young, it's your metabolism!. seriously, when you're, like, 20, you'll be juiced from it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

first, please don't type in all caps, it's very annoying!. Now, as for the coffee and red bull, I asked a similar question not too long ago, it seems we're not the only people that coffee makes them sleepy, it happens a lot!. As for Red Bull, I can't stand the taste or smell of it so I don't drink it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It does the same to me!. I think my body tries to fight the effects of the caffeine, so it ends up draining my energy and then I'm tired when the caffeine has made it's way mostly out of my system!. So almost from the get go I'm tired and then a little while later I'm really tired!.

My body does the opposite with alcohol!. I've never been able to get drunk!. My body fights the effects of it and I'm completely sober 10 minutes after my last drink!. Never have had a hangover in my life, either!.

EDIT: Drink some citrus and water!. That helps me!. I dilute some orange juice with a little water and add a splash of grapefruit juice to it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lol!! Coffee makes me sleepy too - actually more lethargick!. Your body doesnt like the caffiene and is rejecting resulting in the opposite effect!! Try having a glass of berrocca and a few jelly beans instead!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You probably not just crashed from caffeine, but also the sugar in those drinks (presuming you did not use artificial sweeteners)!. The sugar would cause a spike in your blood glucose that would later lead to a crash!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

your a smart girl, you should know that energy drinks will make you crash after a while, especially if you don't have any calories to burn/ insufficient amount of sleep, or had stressful day!. You should look more into the contents of what your drinkingWww@FoodAQ@Com

That is natural with caffeine!.
It has an up and down effect( like cocaine)!.
It'll wake you up OK for about 20 minutes( if that), then you'll go down( like with any other drug) you'd have to have more and more and more!.
Best think is not to touch it when you want to stay awake!.
drink OJ or just water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Caffiene just is not staying in your body!. this sometimes happens to people (believe me im a caffaholic!. if i dont have it i crash midday)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do you think you might have had one too many and too often!?
I am not sure but I guess you might got addicted to them and then they won't make the desired affect, so like with any drugs you have to increase the dose!.
Maybe worth looking at some alternatives like a cold quick shower,etcWww@FoodAQ@Com

I had the same problem for a while!.

Come to find out the caffeine acts as a diuretic and I was chronically dehydrated!.!.!.

To sum things up, for me anyway, caffeine had no effect unless I was properly hydrated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

some people have the opposite affect its crazy i know but trueWww@FoodAQ@Com

because your body is not used to that much energy/caffeine and has to use it and after it has got rid of most of the caffeine it still need to feed off energy and uses your natural energy till it slows down again leaving you with less energy making you so sleepyWww@FoodAQ@Com

They don't "wake" you up they just increase your heart rate and make you jittery, Its good for a quick fix for you to stay alert for, sounds right, about a half hour, but then you start to "crash", or wind down, your heart rate decreases!.

The best way to stay awake is getting the right amount of sleep!. Go with the old fashioned "hit the hay" lol You can also look at your eating habits, are they poor and if so this can also be a factor of you being tired!. And of course regular exercise :-)

If you know you have a big test, spread out the time that you study, dont use your short term memory to study for a test, you get less sleep and you may do well on that test from cramming, but once you've taken the test all of that information will not stick in your mind unless its in your long term memory, and you can only put it in the long term if you spread out your study sessions, such as, studying 15 mins a night for a subject as oppose to 5 hours the night before, sound like a better idea!? Yea i thought so too lol However you can study right before bed, actually its recommended, Ur brain will absorb more when you have no outside distractions after studying such as tv after studying or doing other homework after studying!.!.!.I learned this stuff in psychology btw!.

Good luck and I hope this helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com

You've gotten lots of input regarding the Red Bull and coffee!. Here's my advice: schedule your time more wisely so you're not staying up pulling all-nighters!. If you don't have a job, why are you not getting home until 8pm, especially if you haven't done your homework!?

Our society is so big on quick fixes - look at the diet industry! And, in your case, the energy/caffeine industry!. Just do the right thing and take care of yourself so that you won't need any drug to keep you awake!.

(By the way, did you know that writing in all caps is intended to convey yelling!? I'm sure you don't mean to be yelling, that's why I just wanted to let you know!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com
