nothing wrong with tap water, why pay over ￡1 for water put in a bottle that come from a stream, treated, when you can turn your tap on, fill a cup or glass up for free!. I have been drinking tap water for years, its not diseased or killed me ive just gone 53yrs old!.

No!. It is no different in terms of quality than tap water, and it has a heavy cost ecologically speaking!. Plus there is new evidence in the scientific community that plastic bottles used for beverages can leak petrochemicals into the fluid inside, which is then ingested by the consumer (you)!. What are you going to do with that bottle once the water is out of it and into you!? I guess all bottled water gets in the bottle by passing through filters made of carbon and/or plastic(derived from crude oil), just like tap water!. The bottle is plastic and most Americans throw it into the waste stream or out the car window!. If any community water supply can kill you as stated earlier, instruct your heirs to sue them!. Water is filtered by successively smaller membranes that block the particulates until only the pure water is passed through in "city water" plants!. Well water is another story!. Some of it is bad!. An in-line filter system at home will do the same thing and you won't spend your money for the plastic bottle, the cost to distribute it, your money to remove it along with the rest of your waste, or your money to deal with the waste you created later!. Can you imagine a person from 1920 transported to this time to find gasoline at 4 bucks a gallon and water at 5-7 bucks a gallon!? Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on the tap water!. If it's well water it might be very "hard" and it might be contaminated with chemicals!. If you live somewhere like New York City where the water comes in aqueducts from the mountains, it is theoretically mountain spring water, but it has traveled through miles and miles of pipelines where it may have been contaminated or been treated in water plants!. I suggest that you use a brita filter or some other system to filter tap water, and forget the fancy, expensive plastic bottles from the supermarket!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
