Think about it, Gatorade is basically sugar water to a nonactive person!. It's good for athletes because it restores the electrolytes they burn while active!. However, it you aren't actually doing anything it's not beneficial and is no better than drinking a glass of water with a few teaspoons of sugar added to it!. The University of Iowa did a study about this that proved that Gatorade caused more damage to tooth enamel than Coke, Red Bull, or Apple Juice because of the high sugar content!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the biggest problem with drinking gatorade is that it is designed for atheletes!. there is a large amount of sodium to help with quick recovery from loss of fluids!. if you don't get much sodium elsewhere then i guess it's fine!. i'm sure you get plenty of sodium in your diet though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Gatorade is formulated to avoid "water intoxication" which is a serious - sometimes fatal - condition that can occur if an athelete is drinking too much fluid that is not electrolite balanced!. The major electrolites are sodium cloride and potassium whatever!. Gatorade has both!. If your kidneys are functioning normally and you have no blood pressure issues (high or low) then drinking a lot of Gatorade is probably a no-nevermind!. However, if you do have blood pressure or kidney issues, or a family history thereof, I would avoid it!.
P!.S!. The way you check for "water intoxication" is if you weigh more after sweaty exercise than you did before the sweaty exercise, you are drinking too much water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you're not exersizing, its best not to drink it because its high in sugar and sodium which just messes with your insulin and gives you an energy burst and then makes you crash!.
if you want to drink something that's better for you but you absolutely hate the taste of water, try adding vitamin c fruit flavored powder or crystal light to your water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
