Answers:
Yeah, it is sort of controversial because there are a lot of people who, despite the health advise, seem to be deaf and blind and continue to buy it and drink it regularly, including feeding it to their kids!.

I don't think soda should be a regular purchase for people!. When you come to my house, you are offered a bottle of water, because that's really all we keep on hand!. I strongly believe that soda really messes with our bodies more than anyone is admitting to!.

Bad points:
Carmel coloring
Sugar
Caffeine
Artificial Sweeteners
Calories
Replacing water with soda

SUGAR:
Children are already consuming too much sugar!. When they add a pop to this, they are essensially just injecting a strong stream of sugar directly into their blood!. There really isn't any way we can overlook the amount of junk food that children today consume, including soda, and not see the relationship to learning disabilites and health problems!.

Sugar in soda is also very bad for your teeth!. As opposed to eating a candy bar, the sugar from the soda isn't eaten and then neutralized!. You continually take sips of your soda over a longer period of time, allowing more plaque to build up in your mouth between each sip!.

REPLACING WATER:
When people are thirsty and reach for a soda instead of water, they are depriving their body of that natural cleanse and freshener!. The body needs to have water to keep the organs functioning properly!.

Any possitives of soda cannot possibly outweigh the bad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I personally don't like carbonated drinks, and never have !.!.!.!. but to say NO ONE should drink it!? That's a little extreme!.!.!. I've read that people shouldn't drink more than 2 per day, for health reasons, but it's not up to me to dictate what people want to ingest (or inhale)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hmph!. I forgot about Sodas causing tooth decay!. I say stop drinking sodas because of what it does to your bladder!. I use to drink alot of sodas when I was younger and had to calm down with that because it gave me a bladder infection (cystitis)!. It's nothing but acid!. U should see what the acid does to raw meat when you pour soda liquid over top of that sh it!. Sodas are bad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think people should stop drinking soda too!. It gives you tooth decay, and bone weakness!. My friend is a dietition, and she said that is a number one cause for over-weight issues!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
