The are several reasons why green tea is good for you:

- Green tea contains antioxidants!. Those are natural substances that prevent the breaking down of the cells in the body!. The antioxidants in green tea (mainly epogallocatechin gallate, or EGCG) may help prevent cancer, diabetes, heart disease or even symptoms of aging, like skin trouble and wrinkles!.
- Green tea contains no sugar and no calories!. If you drink green tea instead of soda, the health benefits are excellent!.
- Green tea contains fluoride, which kills bacteria!. That means that drinking tea may improve oral health, and even prevent cavities and plaque!.
- Green tea contains caffeine, which may improve alertness and learning abilities!.

There are more reasons to drink green tea, but those are the major ones!.

I personally prefer good green tea over every other kind, and can't stand the way companies have butchered it by adding things like the honey and such!. Green tea is a bitter tea, and should stay that way!. Oolong tea is quite good as well!. It is a tart/dry tea that is very good cold!. Haven't had a good cup of that since I left Okinawa 5 years ago!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Amongst other reasons (of which I don't know), I heard green tea is good for the skin and is believed to help get rid of acne from the inside - although, as usual, doctors have their own opinion!. So maybe it does help acne or it doesn't!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
