I drink it til it's gone and then it's time for another!. I'm down to 2 pots a day myself!. As long as it's hot I'll drink it all day long!. LOLWww@FoodAQ@Com

first off, you don't want to leave coffee on the burner of a drip machine because it will continue to "cook" the coffee!. yuck!

your best bet is to get an air tight, insulated coffee pot that mantains high temeratures of heat!. that way you can make your cofee and transfer it to the airtight pot as soon as it's done brewing!. if it is quality enough, it will keep the coffee hot and fresh for plenty of hours (depending on your pot)!.

even better, if you light your coffee hot and fresh with each cup - get an individual "cup cone"!. it's a small filter basket that sits on top of your cup!. you put a filter in, measure out your coffee, then pour hot water over it!. fresh cup each time!. you can get these at walmart and stuff for about $2!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hey! I'm a coffee cupper from Guatemala and I can say that you should not drink coffee that has been resting in the coffee machine for over 1!.5 hours!.
Immediatly after being brewed, due to temperature organic acids that give coffee a special flavor start changing into other organic acids but with unpleasent flavors (acetic acid and others)!. If exposed to light (usually because a transparent glass is used in the coffee maker) this process fastens!. It also fastens if the machine has a temperature control that will keep the coffee hot, it gives a horrible overbaked flavor, because of this it is better to use thermos with temperature isolation, it will keep coffee warm without the need of constant heating!. I drink coffee all day long too, and hate it heated up, or sitting on a burner!. I have a DeLonghi Magnifico 3300 (with water & bean reservoirs), which makes a fresh cup, at the push of a button!.!.!.!. and I also have a Cuisinart, which brews into a thermal pot (which keeps it HOT almost 8 hrs)!.!.!. AND, I use a coffee Toddy system, where you make 1 pound of coffee concentrate, which you add to a cup of hot water- so the coffee is always fresh !.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have found over the years that the thing that ruins a pot of coffee is sitting on the hot plate, keepng the coffee warm!. I now turn off the coffeemaker after I pour my first cup and reheat the second, etc!., in the microwave!.!.!.tastes much better!. I once heard that coffee shops will only keep and serve coffee up to 18 mins!. after brewing!. After that it is dumped and a new pot made!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are you drinking the whole pot!? If not it's kinda wasteful!. Some coffe pots will automatically shut off after 2 hours!. I personally say up to 2 and a half!. I'm a mother so I understand about needing energy!. Just make sure that you do drink plenty of water too-ohterwise you run into bladder and kidney infections which can really be painful!. And it can lead to dehydration!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i have a coffee maker that drips directly into a thermos carafe, so it stays pretty good for quite a while!. before i got this coffee maker, i always poured it into a regular thermos bottle!. i don't like the taste of coffee that's been sitting on the burner!. i drink coffee all day too!. :) edit!.!.i also use a senseo machine if i don't want a whole pot, it uses coffee pods and makes one cup at a time!. it's a stronger cup, but pretty good if you get good pods!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
